Press about Yumi Ito

option 1: long quotes

Ito presents an entire spectrum of vocal abilities, which includes recitation, singing lyrics, improvising using vocalese, etc. All tastefully and masterly executed with great respect to the entire framework of her compositions and the vocal tradition, which is truly cross-genre, but always perfectly aesthetically rounded. This is definitely one of the most interesting albums that arrived on my desk in 2020.

"Stardust Crystals" is not the first album by Yumi Ito, but a very special one. All eight pieces on it are self-composed, arranged and sung and accompanied by a ten-piece ensemble and can hardly be packed stylistically into a few terms -and that's good, because the sonic diversity is one of the qualitative features. In addition, the Swiss has a wonderful, varied voice.

  1. Take a screenshot of the original review

  2. Crop into a square format

  3. Change to Black&White (for unification — some of the designs are rather ugly in colors so that’s the easiest way to make it look nice without huge effort or involving a graphic designer for every new review)

  4. Upload the photo, link the photo to the article in dropbox

  5. Add the caption, I suggest this format:

  6. In the description please use soft enters (Shift+Enter) otherwise the line spacing will be huge

  7. Check the mobile version to make sure the tiles with images and titles didn’t shift

  8. Enlarge the square photo you added (you’ll see what I mean once you add more reviews)

That’s it :) I think this way is the easiest in maintenance.
